Too Busy To Blog

Well, not really. You see I’ve just bought a zippy new computer and it seems like I don’t have the time to just relax and blog. With pages loading at lightening speed, the fact of actually typing on one single screen boggles my mind.

Not related to my computer, is the fact that hubby & I are going through a kitchen remodel. Stressful? A tad. Right now were cooking in a microwave and a toaster oven and doing dishes in the bathroom sink. Aside from the bathroom sink nothing much has changed from my regular cooking routine. It’s not that I’m a bad cook, when I do cook the food tastes pretty darned good. It’s simply the fact that I’m lazy and impatient and cooking requires effort. Boiling water plus stirring and baking, that takes effort and waiting around – a combination I’m not particularly fond of. Thus, if I can nuke it or pop it in the toaster oven we’re eating it. I keep telling myself when the kitchen is finished I’m going to go into Julia Child mode and whip up fabulous dishes & when we have kids nutritious meals will always appear on the dining room table. June Cleaver be forwarded you’ve got competition. Meh, the microwave just beeped. I’ve got to go get my lunch.
